Celebrating the Fallen Firemen of 9/11 or Remembering 9/11: A Call to Honor

On the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists from al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial planes:

  • American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 were flown into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.

  • American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.

  • United Airlines Flight 93, thanks to brave passengers who fought back, crashed in a Pennsylvania field before reaching its intended target – likely the Capitol or the White House.

The Twin Towers collapsed, claiming thousands of lives and changing the skyline of New York forever. The Pentagon burned, and a field in Shanksville became hallowed ground.

Remembering 9/11 is about honoring the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken in the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil, and recognizing the extraordinary courage shown by our first responders, military, and everyday citizens in the face of unspeakable evil.

We also remember the firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who ran toward danger. We remember the passengers of Flight 93 passengers, who knowingly sacrificed themselves to protect others. We remember the families left behind, who still bear the weight of that grief. And we remember all our military service members, many of whom went to war as a direct result of that day.

So, why should we remember such a terrible day? We remember because freedom has enemies, and we cannot afford to forget what hatred, extremism, and complacency can allow. We remember because the cost of liberty is eternal vigilance. And we remember because on that dark day, America did not fold – it stood tall!

Whether you fly the flag, bow your head in prayer, or share the story with a younger generation, remembering 9/11 is not just about the past – it’s about recommitting to who we are as Americans: Resilient, United, Patriotic!

“Never Forget” isn’t just a slogan. It’s a promise. A promise that we will remember the fallen. Honor the brave. And that we will remain forever vigilant.

God Bless the U.S.A.

True patriots like yourself, similar to first responders or military service members, are all heroes because they love, support, and defend America and its interests. They are not simply a product of their upbringing or environment, but rather, they have made a deliberate commitment to America and its ideals. Help us celebrate these patriotic heroes – they deserve our praise and admiration.
