There's a New Sheriff in Town

Yes, there's a new sheriff in town! The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is a federal executive department responsible for safeguarding the nation from threats. It combines responsibilities from several agencies and is roughly equivalent to the interior or home ministries in other countries. DHS’s core missions include:

• Counterterrorism

• Border security

• Immigration enforcement and administration

• Cybersecurity

• Disaster response and emergency management

DHS was created in response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and officially began operations on March 1, 2003. It includes components such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the U.S. Secret Service.

Today, under Secretary Kristi Noem’s leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS are fulfilling President Trump’s promise to Make America Safe Again by removing violent criminal illegal aliens.
