Vietnam War Veterans 50 th Year Commemoration Vietnam War Veterans Commemoration   Vietnam War veterans are the men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Vietnam War era, roughly from November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, with most combat operations occurring between 1964 and 1973. Over 2.7 million Americans served in Vietnam, and more than 58,000 lost their lives, while hundreds of thousands more were wounded, captured, or remain missing in action.   These v
