The United States will celebrate its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This celebration, known as America250, will include a year-long series of events and activities leading up to the main celebration. The kickoff event will take place at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, featuring patriotic entertainment and remarks by the President. Planning for this significant occasion began in 2016 with an act of Congress. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.
